Ingredients

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    apples, peeled and finely chopped (about 2 med.)
  • 2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1
    egg

How to Make Sour Cream Apple Squares

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350*.
    1. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. In large bowl combine flour, sugar and butter. Blend until crumbly, stir in nuts.
    Press 2 3/4 cups of crumb mixture into 9x13 pan (jelly roll pan works great also) grease very lightly
  2. 2. To remaining mixture add cinnamon, soda,salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg. Blend well.
    Stir in apples and spoon evenly over crumb base.
  3. 3. Bake at 350* for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares. will make your tummy feel good. lol xoxo
