I have made this many times. it is a quick family favorite. Never any leftovers in my house. Some times I have to make two.

Ingredients

3/4 c
sugar, divided
3 Tbsp
minute tapioca
3/4 c
water
1 Tbsp
lemon juice, fresh
4 c
cherries, fresh or canned
1 c
all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/3 c
milk
1/4 c
almonds, slices

How to Make So Gooie Cherry Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat the oven to 375F. Set aside 2 tbsp.of the sugar for later. Mix the sugar & tapioca in a large sacuepan. Stir in the water & lemon juice.
  • 2bring to a boi. Then add in the cherries. Cook for 2 mins more. Stirring frequently.
  • 3pour in to a lightly greased 8 or 9 inch baking dish.
  • 4Stir baking mix again. mix the reserved sugar, cinnamon & milk in a medium bowl until mixture forms a soft dough.
  • 5Drop heaping tablespoons onto hot furit mix. Sprinkle with the almonds.
  • 6Bake 28 to 30 mins or until topping is golden brown & furit is bubbling. Cool 10 mins. Cover & refrigerate leftovers.
  • 7Special Tip: Top each serving with a good dollop for cool whip or any yogurt or vanilla ice cream.
