These are wonderful to put on in the crock pot while you are cooking dinner. By the time you cook,serve, and eat dinner. Your dessert is ready. Everyone loves and enjoys this apple treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 large
    honey crisp, apples
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/3 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c
    mixed dried fruit
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 3/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 dash(es)
    ground ginger
  • 1 jar(s)
    caramel ice cream topping
  • 2 c
    water

How to Make Slow Stuffed Apples

Step-by-Step

  1. Core apples and peel top third of each. Brush peeled portion with lemon juice. Place in a 6qt. Slow Cooker.
  2. In a bowl mix pecans, dried fruit,brown sugar, butter and spices.
  3. Place a heaping Tablespoon in each apple. Pour 2c. water around apples. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours or until apples are tender.
  4. Serve with Caramel topping.
