Ingredients

  • - 1 cup raisins
  • - 1/2 cup sugar
  • - 2 tbsp. flour
  • - 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • - 1/4 tsp. salt
  • - 4 cups fresh or 16 oz. frozen sliced peaches
  • - 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • - 1 unbaked nine inch pie dough round or shell
  • - powdered sugar

How To Make rustic peach galette

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425. Mix raisins, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
  • Step 2
    Mix in peaches and lemon juice. Put pie dough on rimmed baking sheet. Mound fruit in center of dough, leaving a 1 to 2 inch border. Fold dough up, gently pleating and pressing against fruit.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or til crust is golden. Juices may seep out onto the pan. Remove form oven and let cool on pan. with a large spatula, carefully transfer galette to a platter. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving. makes 8 servings.
