Ingredients

  • 2 pounds cooking apples, peeled and sliced (51/2)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of ground nutmeg and cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine

How To Make roz's apple crisp

  • Step 1
    put apples in shallow greased 2 quart casseroles dish.
  • Step 2
    add water, combine sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon, and flour.
  • Step 3
    cut margarine with pastry blender.
  • Step 4
    spoon evenly over apples. cover and bake in preheated moderate oven (350) for 30 minutes.
  • Step 5
    uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer.
