Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    cooking apples, peeled and sliced (51/2)
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp
    each of ground nutmeg and cinnamon
  • 3/4 c
    of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine

How to Make Roz's apple crisp

Step-by-Step

  1. put apples in shallow greased 2 quart casseroles dish.
  2. add water, combine sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon, and flour.
  3. cut margarine with pastry blender.
  4. spoon evenly over apples. cover and bake in preheated moderate oven (350) for 30 minutes.
  5. uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer.
