Ingredients

  • 3 c
    rhubarb, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 lb
    strawberries, frozen, whole, drained, or 1 pint fresh
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose sifted flour
  • 3/4 c
    oats, quick or old-fashioned, uncooked
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/3 c
    butter

How to Make Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine rhubarb, strawberries and sugar.
  2. Place in a 9 inch square baking dish.
  3. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter, mixing until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle crumb mixture over rhubarb and strawberries.
  5. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 40 minutes or until rhubarb is tender.
  6. NOTE: If fresh strawberries are used, increase sugar to 1/2 cup.
