Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp

rhubarb, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 lb
strawberries, frozen, whole, drained, or 1 pint fresh
1/4 c
granulated sugar
1/4 c
all purpose sifted flour
3/4 c
oats, quick or old-fashioned, uncooked
3/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/3 c


1Combine rhubarb, strawberries and sugar.
2Place in a 9 inch square baking dish.
3Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter, mixing until crumbly.
4Sprinkle crumb mixture over rhubarb and strawberries.
5Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 40 minutes or until rhubarb is tender.
6NOTE: If fresh strawberries are used, increase sugar to 1/2 cup.
