baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
3 Tbsp
butter, chilled

How to Make Rhubarb-Strawberry Cobbler


  • 1FILLING: In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and orange rind.
  • 2Add rhubarb and strawberries; toss well.
  • 3Spread mixture in 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
  • 4Bake in 400 degree oven 10 minutes.
  • 5TOPPING: In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • 6Using fingers or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles small peas.
  • 7With fork, stir in buttermilk just until soft dough forms.
  • 8Drop by tablespoonfuls in 12 mounds on top of hot fruit filling.
  • 9Bake in 400 degree oven 25 minutes or until topping is golden brown and has risen.
