1First layer, crumble together and press in bottom of 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake @ 350* for 10 minutes.
2Second layer, Mix together and pour on top of baked crust. Bake @ 350* for 40-45 min, or until firm.
3Third layer, beat whites real well, slowly add sugar, 2 TBSP. at a time. Add vanilla and salt. Beat until stiff peaks form. Put this meringue on top of baked custard filling, sprinkle with coconut or chopped walnuts(optional). Bake until golden brown, 350* for 10 - 15 min.
