Ingredients

  • 3 cups rhubarb, sliced into half inch pieces
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2/3 cup quick cooking oats
  • - vanilla ice cream, optional

How To Make rhubarb crumble

  • Step 1
    Combine rhubarb, apples and strawberries; spoon into a greased 8 inch square baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over rhubarb mixture.
  • Step 3
    Set aside.
  • Step 4
    In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 5
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step 6
    Stir in brown sugar and oats.
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle over rhubarb mixture.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until lightly browned.
