I would call this recipe more of a Rhubarb Crunch but in Gramma Bea's box the name is what it is. But in our family we will eat rhubarb any way.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons corn startch
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 cups rhubarb (cut)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (for the top)
How To Make rhubarb bar dessert

Step 1Combine oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, soda and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Lightly press 2/3 of this mixture into a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 12 min.

Step 2In a saucepan combine cornstarch and sugar. Add water and rhubarb. Cook for about 5 min. stirring constantly. Pour over crust and sprinkle with the remaining topping and nuts. Continue baking for 25 to 30 more min. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
