I enjoy sweet, but easy, desserts. And this fits the bill.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups corn cereal - like chex
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 ounces seedless red raspberry preserves
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

How To Make raspberry dessert bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Grind cereal into 2 cups of crumbs.
  • Step 3
    In small bowl combine cereal crumbs and sugar; mix in butter.
  • Step 4
    Line a 13x9x2 baking pan with foil and coat with pan spray.
  • Step 5
    Press mixture evenly into pan.
  • Step 6
    Drizzle milk over the crumbs, reserving 1/3 of the can.
  • Step 7
    Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Spread preserves over top of condensed milk.
  • Step 9
    Sprinkle with coconut and nuts.
  • Step 10
    Drizzle remaining milk over top.
  • Step 11
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
  • Step 12
    Cool completely and cut into 24 bars. Store bars in refrigerator.
