Ingredients
- 2 - medium granny smith apples
- 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls (8 count)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup orange or apple juice (i use apple juice)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
How To Make quick apple dumplings

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish. Peel and core the apples. Cut each apple into fourths.

Step 2Unroll and separate the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Wrap each apple section in a triangle of crescent dough. Place in the pan and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Step 3Combine butter, sugar, and orange OR apple juice in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour this all over the dumplings. Sprinkle pecans over the top.

Step 4Bake for 30 minutes. To serve, spoon some of the syrup from the baking dish over the dumplings. Serve with ice cream if desired.
