Quick Apple Dumplings

2medium granny smith apples

1 pkgrefrigerated crescent rolls (8 count)

1 csugar

1 tspvanilla extract

1/8 tspground cinnamon

1/2 cbutter
-
1 corange or apple juice (i use apple juice)

1/2 cfinely chopped pecans
How to Make Quick Apple Dumplings
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish. Peel and core the apples. Cut each apple into fourths.
- Unroll and separate the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Wrap each apple section in a triangle of crescent dough. Place in the pan and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Combine butter, sugar, and orange OR apple juice in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour this all over the dumplings. Sprinkle pecans over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes. To serve, spoon some of the syrup from the baking dish over the dumplings. Serve with ice cream if desired.
