This is an old favorite of my family. It is a refreshing dessert at any time of the year, it seems to go over very well at holiday gatherings. It gives you both the salty & sweet flavor that most people crave.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package cool whip
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 ounces pkge strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 20 ounces frozen strawberry sliced

How To Make pretzel salad

  • Step 1
    Mix the first 3 ingredients together and spread into a 13x10 pan. Bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes. Do not over bake.
  • Step 2
    Beat cream cheese and sugar. Fold in half of cool whip. Spread over pretzel crust.
  • Step 3
    Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add frozen strawberries. Stir until melted. When it starts to thicken,spread over cream cheese mixture.
  • Step 4
    Refridgerate until jello sets up and then add the remaining Cool Whip mixture and serve.
