Salty & sweet...the best of both worlds! I've made this dish for Christmas, teachers, and work parties and boy is it popular! It's the dessert you'll crave.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 c
    melted butter, unsalted
  • 4 Tbsp
    white sugar
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 9 oz
    cool whip
  • 6 oz
    strawberry jello
  • 3/4 c
    boiling water
  • 10 oz
    frozen, sliced strawberries

How to Make Pretzel Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Mix crushed pretzels, butter & 4 T sugar in large bowl. Pat into 9 by 13 inch pan and bake for 8 minutes. Cool.
  3. Beat cream cheese & 1 cup sugar in large bowl until smooth. Fold cool whip into mixture. Spread into cooled pretzel crust.
  4. Prepare jello using 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir frozen strawberries into jello and immediately pour onto cream layer.
  5. Refridgerate 4 hours until set.
