Salty & sweet...the best of both worlds! I've made this dish for Christmas, teachers, and work parties and boy is it popular! It's the dessert you'll crave.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter, unsalted
  • 4 tablespoons white sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 9 ounces cool whip
  • 6 ounces strawberry jello
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 10 ounces frozen, sliced strawberries

How To Make pretzel salad

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400
  • Step 2
    Mix crushed pretzels, butter & 4 T sugar in large bowl. Pat into 9 by 13 inch pan and bake for 8 minutes. Cool.
  • Step 3
    Beat cream cheese & 1 cup sugar in large bowl until smooth. Fold cool whip into mixture. Spread into cooled pretzel crust.
  • Step 4
    Prepare jello using 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir frozen strawberries into jello and immediately pour onto cream layer.
  • Step 5
    Refridgerate 4 hours until set.
