This is the easiest cobbler you can make in a pinch. If you have unexpected company and need a quick an easy desert.....Give this a try!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 can(s)
    pie filling (apple, cherry, or peach) or fresh fruit
  • 1 stick
    butter, unsalted
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Poor Man's Apple Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a 9x13 (preferably glass) baking dish.
  3. Mix sugar, flour, vanilla, and milk an pour into baking dish. Do not mix with butter. Just pour into the butter.
  4. Spoon in fruit of choice in random spots.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes. Crust will rise around apples. Serve. Enjoy!
