- 4 large pears, peeled, stem attached and bottom slightly cut
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 tablespoon slivered almonds, toasted
How To Make poached pears with caramel sauce

Step 1In a medium saucepan, combine water, orange juice, and sugar; stir and bring to a boil. Place pears, cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Poach them for 20-30 minutes or until soft when piercing with the tip of a knife.

Step 2Carefully remove them and transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle about ¼ cup caramel sauce over each pear and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
