  • ·
    3 cups apple cider
  • ·
    4 large apples, peeled
  • ·
fresh mint leaves for garnish, optional

How to Make Poached Candy Apples

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large saucepan, over medium heat, melt the cinnamon candies in the apple cider. Add the apples and spoon the sauce over the tops to coat.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, or until tender, turning occasionally during cooking and spooning the sauce over the tops.

Serve warm with the sauce spooned over the apples, or allow to cool and chill in the sauce until ready to serve.
