"plum" good crunch

When a neighbor gave me a bunch of plums, and the only thing I could think of was jam, a 2nd neighbor gave me this recipe! It is so tasty and simple to make. I pretty much have to double it now, as everyone loves it. By the way, after I made this, we planted our own prune plum trees!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pitted, quartered, fresh prune plums
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

How To Make "plum" good crunch

  • Step 1
    Combine prepared plums and brown sugar and put mixture in greased 9 x 9 pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon together. Add beaten egg to mixture and toss until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 375 degrees for 45 mins. If you double recipe cook for approx. 60 mins in a 8 x 13" pan.Great with vanilla ice cream!
