A popular dessert anytime of the year. We enjoyed this dessert, following our traditional pork & homemade kraut, dumplings and many other fixings for New Years! Happy New Year!!!

Ingredients
- CRUST
- 2 cups crushed pretzels ( salted )
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter or 3/4 cup
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- FILLING
- 1 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-8 ounce thawed, cool whip
- STRAWBERRY/PINEAPPLE TOPPING
- 1 - 6 ounces strawberry jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 20 ounces sliced, frozen strawberries
- 1-8 ounce crushed pineapple, juice too
How To Make ~ pineapple/strawberry pretzel dessert ~

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Melt butter, add to crushed pretzels and sugar. Mix well. Press into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven to cool.

Step 2In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in cool whip. Spread over cooled crust, with an offset knife. Refrigerate.

Step 3In a medium bowl, mix together the water and jello. Stir in the strawberries and pineapple. Refrigerate until starting to set. Stir and spread over cream cheese filling.

Step 4Chill for 4 hours or until completely set. I always serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy!
