Pineapple Rum Bars

I came up with this super easy dessert,because I had a fresh pineapple and wanted to create something yummy with it.

  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 c
    chopped pineapples
  • 1/4 c
    dark rum
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • pinch
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How to Make Pineapple Rum Bars


  1. In a large bowl, add flour,cooking oats,brown sugar,baking soda,cinnamon, salt...mix together
  2. melt butter (microwave is fine) add to mixture as well as the rum & vanilla
  3. incorporate well...then fold in the pineapples, press in a 9x12 baking dish and bake at 350 for 30mins. or until golden brown
