The batter for this cobbler is actually put on the bottom of the dish and the peaches on top. During baking the batter rises up and over the peaches and forms a wonderfully crisp yet cake like contrast to the peaches This is a dessert you will love and it tastes wonderful with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top drizzled with caramel sauce!!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ripe peaches peeled, pitted and sliced
- 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 6 tablespoons butter
How To Make pecan crusted peach cobbler

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2In a medium bowl combine peaches, 3/4 cup sugar and the cinnamon. Stir to combine and set aside for 1 hour

Step 3In a large bowl combine flour, pecans, baking powder, salt and remaining sugar. Add milk and whisk until just combined, the batter might be a little lumpy

Step 4Melt the butter in a 9 inch baking dish. Pour the batter over the butter, do not stir. Spoon the peach mixture on top of the batter and do not stir. Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
