Ingredients
- 1 can sliced peached in heavy syrup (15.35 oz.)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup oats
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons margarine (I used Country Crock original)
- 1 pinch salt
How To Make peach crisp recipe (small batch)
-
Step 1Drain the peaches thoroughly in a colander, gently shaking to remove as much syrup as possible. Reserve just 1 Tbsp syrup.
-
Step 2Slice peaches into bite-sized chunks if needed.
-
Step 3In a bowl, mix peaches, 1 Tbsp reserved syrup, 1 Tbsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 1/2 tsps flour. Stir gently.
-
Step 4Combine 1/3 cup rolled oats,1/4 cup flour,1/4 cup brown sugar,1/2 tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp melted margarine and mix until crumbly. If too dry, add 1/2 Tbsp more margarine.
-
Step 5Lightly grease your baking dish with margarine. (You can use a bread pan, 2 small single-serving-sized baking crocks, or a 6x6 pan.)
-
Step 6Spread the peach mixture evenly in the dish.
-
Step 7Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the top without packing it down.
-
Step 8Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes, until the topping is golden and the filling bubbles. Cover loosely with foil if the topping browns too quickly.
-
Step 9Cool for 5-10 minutes and serve warm.
-
Step 10Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
