Ingredients

  • 1 can sliced peached in heavy syrup (15.35 oz.)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons margarine (I used Country Crock original)
  • 1 pinch salt

How To Make peach crisp recipe (small batch)

  • Step 1
Drain the peaches thoroughly in a colander, gently shaking to remove as much syrup as possible. Reserve just 1 Tbsp syrup.
  • Step 2
Slice peaches into bite-sized chunks if needed.
  • Step 3
In a bowl, mix peaches, 1 Tbsp reserved syrup, 1 Tbsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 1/2 tsps flour. Stir gently.
  • Step 4
Combine 1/3 cup rolled oats,1/4 cup flour,1/4 cup brown sugar,1/2 tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp melted margarine and mix until crumbly. If too dry, add 1/2 Tbsp more margarine.
  • Step 5
Lightly grease your baking dish with margarine. (You can use a bread pan, 2 small single-serving-sized baking crocks, or a 6x6 pan.)
  • Step 6
Spread the peach mixture evenly in the dish.
  • Step 7
Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the top without packing it down.
  • My 2 baking crocks ready to go into the oven.
    Step 8
Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes, until the topping is golden and the filling bubbles. Cover loosely with foil if the topping browns too quickly.
  • Step 9
Cool for 5-10 minutes and serve warm.
  • Step 10
Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
