peach cobler
Our small group shares a themed potluck dinner every week. When the theme was Southern comfort food I opted to make dessert. I chose peach cobbler and looked for a recipe. After reading several comments that it was too sweet I simply cut down the sugar and I think it’s perfect. Try it and decide for yourselves

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cups fresh peaches (peeled and sliced)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
How To Make peach cobler

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees In a 9x13 inch pan melt butter in oven while it preheats

Step 2Cut and slice peaches to make four cups and place in saucepan.

Step 3In a small mixing bowl combine 1/2 cup sugar, flour, and baking powder

Step 4Stir milk into dry ingredients just until combined

Step 5In saucepan with peaches, add 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice

Step 6Bring peach mixture to a boil

Step 7Pour flour mixture over butter. Do not stir

Step 8Pour peaches over flour mixture. Do not stir

Step 9Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired

Step 10Bake for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm or cool with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
