This is the easiest cobbler ever! The original recipe calls for only milk and white sugar. I decided to use some of the peach juice and brown sugar. It works well together!

Ingredients

  • 1 can sliced peaches, 29 oz, in heavy syrup; drained but reserve liquid
  • 2 cups biscuit mix (i use bisquick)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup reserved peach juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1-1/2 cup brown sugar, not packed

How To Make peach cobbler

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375°. Drain peaches, reserving liquid. Mix with brown sugar and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Mix together biscuit mix, nutmeg, milk and peach juice. Add in melted butter until combined.
  • Step 3
    Pour into 9x13" baking dish. No need to butter dish. Spoon peach mixture over batter.
  • Step 4
    Bake @ 375° for 45-50 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or, even better, ice cream.
