Peach and Blueberries ! Nice new treat to try ! You could mix a different fruit in of course, like sneak a few cranberries in.

I used less sugar than called for and made it in an 8 inch deep glass pie plate.

Originally required this recipe from the Wellfleet Audubon Cookbook several years ago.

Ingredients

1 Tbsp
cornstarch
1/4 c
brown sugar
1/2 c
cold water
2 c
sliced fresh peaches, mixed with 1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 c
fresh blueberries
1 Tbsp
butter or margarine
1 Tbsp
lemon juice

CRUST:

1 c
sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c
granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
milk
1/4 c
soft butter or margarine

NUTMEG TOPPING:

2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR MIXED WITH 1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG

How to Make Peach-a-Berry Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    Mix first three ingredients; add fruits.
    Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
    Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into 9 X 13 inch baking pan.
  • 2Crust:
    Sift together dry ingredients. Add milk and butter all at once.
    Beat til smooth. Spread over fruit.
    Sprinkle with Nutmeg Topper.
  • 3Bake cobbler in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until done. Serve with cream or ice cream.
