A good friend gave me a container of this stuff on Christmas, what a wonderful treat it was - it was similar to what my aunt's recipe is but this one was much easier. Enjoy everyone!

Ingredients

  • 8 - 12 oz
    pkg. pitted prunes
  • 3 Tbsp
    hawaiian or kosher salt
  • 1 large
    pkg. lemon peel seed
  • 1 large
    pkg. li hing mui seed
  • 1 tsp
    chinese 5-spice powder
  • 1 box
    brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    whiskey
  • 8
    whole cloves
  • 1 1/2 c
    lemon juice, fresh

How to Make Ono (Delicious) Prune Mui
