Ingredients
- 4 cups tart apples, sliced and peeled
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, uncooked
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/3 cup cold butter
How To Make old fashioned apple crisp

Step 1Place peeled sliced apples in a greased 8inch square baking dish, set aside. In medium bowl combine brown Sugar, Flour,Oats, Cinnamon and Allspice. Cut butter into mixture with two butter knives, until butter is small lumps the size of a pea. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until the top is lightly brown and it is bubbling at the sides of the pan. Let cool for 10-15 minutes then serve alone or with some Vanilla Ice Cream.
