This is my mamaw's favorite dessert. These dumplings also go great served with ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 2
    granny smith apples
  • 2 can(s)
    cresent rolls
  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter, unsalted
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 16 oz
    mountain dew

How to Make mountain dew apple dumplings

Step-by-Step

  1. peel and core apples. cut into 16 slices. wrap each slice in one cresent roll. put rolls in a baking dish. Put butter, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a small saucepan and simmer to a gravy like consistency stirring often. pour gravy over apples and then pour the mountain dew over that. Bake at 350' 35-40 minutes till golden brown. Serve warm.
