My mom came up with this one by combining two recipes from different books. She came out with a family favorite! There are never any leftovers!

Ingredients
- CRUST
- 2 cups bisquick baking mix
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 - egg
- 1/3 cup shortening
- FILLING
- 3 cups peaches, peeled and sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flou
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract or vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherry juice
How To Make mom's peach cobbler

Step 1Combine all crust ingredients and spread about 2/3 of the mixture on the bottom of a baking dish.

Step 2For filling: in a sauce pan combine sugar, flour, salt and cherry juice. Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, plus one additional minute. Mix in butter, extract and peaches. Pour over crust.

Step 3Sprinkle remaining crust mixture over fruit filling.

Step 4Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, until bubbly and browned.
