This is a cobbler with a quick batter baked on top. As a kid I loved this dessert, especially with ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 4 c
    sliced fresh or frozen peaches (thawed)
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    sugar

How to Make Mom's Easy Peach Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix 1 cup sugar, cinnamon, and peaches. Set aside.

    Melt butter in a 2 quart baking dish. In a medium bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix well to make a runny batter. Pour over butter in baking dish.

    Using a slotted spoon to drain peaches, top baking dish ingredients evenly with peaches. Bake 50-55 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Serve warm with ice cream or cold with whipped topping.
