Ingredients
- 2 - 8oz packages pitted dates
- 1 stick butter, cold
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups puffed rice cereal
How To Make mom's date balls

Step 1Mix together in skillet - Dates, butter, brown sugar and water. Cook over medium heat for 10 - 12 minutes or until thickened to a paste.

Step 2Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 3Mix in 2 cups of the rice crispies. Allow to cool to touch then roll into small balls. Roll in coconut or powdered sugar. Serving size depends on how big the balls are.
