2 - 8oz pkgpitted dates
1 stickbutter, cold
1 cbrown sugar
1 tspvanilla extract
2 cpuffed rice cereal
How to Make Mom's Date Balls
- Mix together in skillet - Dates, butter, brown sugar and water. Cook over medium heat for 10 - 12 minutes or until thickened to a paste.
- Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla
- Mix in 2 cups of the rice crispies.
Allow to cool to touch then roll into small balls.
Roll in coconut or powdered sugar.
Serving size depends on how big the balls are.
