No doubt about it this is the best Apple Crisp ever. I was raised on this Crisp, Mom loved Cheese with hot Apple Pie as many do but this was even better. I often add EXTRA cheese myself. Hope you all enjoy it.

Ingredients
- 1 quart +1 cup sliced apples
- 2 2/3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- TOPPING
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup grate cheesed
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make mom's cheese apple crisp

Step 1Arrange apples in shallow pan (9x13 glass) (May use apple sauce in place of sliced apples by omitting water)

Step 2Add water and lemon juice

Step 3Topping: Mix sugar,cinnamon, flour and salt. Work in butter until it forms a crumbly texture, then add grated cheese and mix lightly until well combined.

Step 4Sprinkle mixture over apples and bake in moderate oven until apples are tender and topping is browned.
