mixed berry lattice crisp

This is a very delicious dessert. Its good eaten warm or cold. I've doubled this recipe and made it in a 11x9" pan for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen black berries
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granola ; coarsely ground
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, light
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 package pie pastry, cut into 1" strips
  • 1 - egg ; beaten
  • - cooking spray

How To Make mixed berry lattice crisp

  • Step 1
    In a large mixing bowl combine all the berries with the sugar , and flour ; set aside.
  • Step 2
    In another bowl mix the brown sugar , cinnamon , butter and the granola .
  • Step 3
    Spray a 2-1/2 Qt. baking dish with the cooking spray.
  • Step 4
    Press 3/4 of the granola mixture in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Step 5
    Top with the berry mixture.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle the remaining granola mixture on top of the berries.
  • Step 7
    Arrange the dough strips in a lattice pattern over top of the berries ; Fold the edges of the dough slightly under the lip of the baking dish , Pinch closed.
  • Step 8
    Brush the lattice with the beaten egg.
  • Step 9
    Bake @ 375° for 30-35 minutes.
  • Step 10
    Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
