Ingredients

  • 2 c
    dates, chopped
  • 1
    grated peeled and juice of lemon
  • 1 heaping Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 8 oz
    puff pastry sheet
  • 1
    beaten,egg
  • ·
    confectioners' sugar

How to Make Medjool Date Triangles

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. In a bowl,combine dates,grated lemon peel,lemon juice,and brown sugar;mix to blend.
  3. Cut pastry into 3 strips roughly 4 inches wide and then into 4-inch squares.
  4. Place small amount of the date mixture on each square.
  5. Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
  6. Fold into triangles and seal the edges,then brush additional egg over triangles as a glaze.
  7. Place the triangles on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes,or until golden.
  9. Dust with confrctioners' sugar.
  10. Serve warm.
