I don't really like dates,so I like to use something else than dates

2 c
dates, chopped
grated peeled and juice of lemon
1 heaping Tbsp
brown sugar
1 8 oz
puff pastry sheet
confectioners' sugar

How to Make Medjool Date Triangles


  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  • 2In a bowl,combine dates,grated lemon peel,lemon juice,and brown sugar;mix to blend.
  • 3Cut pastry into 3 strips roughly 4 inches wide and then into 4-inch squares.
  • 4Place small amount of the date mixture on each square.
  • 5Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
  • 6Fold into triangles and seal the edges,then brush additional egg over triangles as a glaze.
  • 7Place the triangles on a baking sheet.
  • 8Bake for 15 minutes,or until golden.
  • 9Dust with confrctioners' sugar.
  • 10Serve warm.
