Sometimes, I’ll use strawberry flavored cream cheese instead of regular cream cheese. Recipe is from a friend

Ingredients

  • - 32 large strawberries
  • - 1 pkg. cream cheese, softened, 8 oz
  • - 1 pkg. cream cheese, softened, 3 oz
  • - 3 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • - 1/4 tsp. almond extract, optional, but good
  • - 2 tbsp. grated semisweet chocolate

How To Make lynnda’s strawberry flowers

  • Step 1
    Cut a thin slice from stem end of each strawberry, allowing the berries to stand upright. Put berries, cut side down, on serving platter. Cut each berry into 4 wedges, cutting to but not through bottoms. Fan edges slightly. Set aside
  • Step 2
    Mix cream cheese, sugar and almond extract if using in mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed of mixer til light and fluffy. Fold in grated chocolate. Spoon mixture into a decorating bag fitted with large star tip. Pipe cream cheese mixture into center of each berry. Chill til ready to serve. Makes 32 flowers.
