linda’s fresh strawberry dessert

This can be made with any of your favorite fruit. Just match fruit to jello flavor. This recipe was giving to me by my mother, Linda Feldkamp.

Ingredients For linda’s fresh strawberry dessert

  • CRUST
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • FIRST LAYER (ON TOP OF CRUST)
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 8 oz
    cream chese
  • 12 oz
    cool whip
  • SECOND LAYER
  • 20
    or more strawberries
  • THIRD LAYER
  • 1 3/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1 pkg
    strawberry jello

How To Make linda’s fresh strawberry dessert

    Mix crust ingredients together & press into 9x13 pan bake at 325 for 25 minutes watch closely so it doesn’t get too brown. Cool crust
  • 2
    While crust is cooling, Beat sugar & cream cheese well before adding cool whip, spread on top cooled crust.

    Cook water, sugar, and corn starch to thicken, stirring continually then add 1 small package strawberry jello, cool but not let it set up set up.

    While jello mixture is cooling, lay sliced strawberries onto whipped cream layer, once jello mixture has cooled, pour over strawberries. Place in refrigerator to allow jello to set before serving
