These little babys have the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The crust is buttery and flakey. If that isnt enough they are SUPER easy to throw together!! Very simple ingreidents and full of flavor!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter room temp
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar..plus extra to sprinkle
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest, grated
  • 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 - eggs

How To Make lemon squares

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven 350
  • Step 2
    In a food processor place butter , flour and powdered sugar . Pulse until the mixture is mixed together. Press into a 13x9 baking dish using floured hands. Bake for 20 min
  • Step 3
    With a mixer beat eggs, sugar, Lemon juice and zest. After blended well add baking powder. Pour over Hot crust. Bake another 30 min
  • Step 4
    Allow to cool completley before cutting. After cutting sprinkle with powdered sugar.
