2 tsplemon zest, grated

1/16 tspsalt

10 Tbspbutter, unsalted, cut into small pieces

2 - 4tart shells or phyllo tarts
- GARNISH:

cool whip free

How To Make lemon custard dessert or tarts

1In a heatproof bowl, whisk together 1st 5 ingredients. Place mixture over a saucepan over low simmering water set over medium low heat. Cook, whisking often, until mixture starts to thicken, about 20 minutes.

2Remove bowl from pot & slowly whisk in butter until smooth.

3You can either pour into individual dishes or into tart shells. Cover & chill at least 2 hours or until ready to serve. Serve with a dollop of cool whip & berries, if desired.
