This tasty dessert provides a great marriage of chocolate and lemon flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 box nabisco famous chocolate waffers
  • 8 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 can condensed milk, 14 oz.
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

How To Make lemon chocolate bars

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 325°F.
  • Step 2
    Lay two sheets of parchment paper in an 8 by 8 inch baking pan. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Finely crush chocolate wafers.
  • Step 4
    Combine crushed cookies and melted butter.
  • Step 5
    Press crust mixture into the bottom of prepared pan.
  • Step 6
    Bake crust for about 15 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Make filling by whisking together cream cheese, egg yolks, condensed milk, lemon juice and lemon zest. Let mixture rest for a few minutes to allow some of the air bubbles to rise to the surface.
  • Step 8
    Pour filling into warm crust. Place pan back into oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until filling has set.
  • Step 9
    Remove from oven and let cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.
