    2 bags apple slices, 6 oz. each
  • ·
    2 tbsp. flour
  • ·
    1/2 cup sugar
  • ·
    3 tbsp. butter, melted
  • ·
  • ·
    1/2 cup flour
  • ·
    3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • ·
    1/4 cup old fashioned oats
  • ·
    3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ·
    pinch salt
  • ·
    3 tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces
  • ·
    3 tbsp. coarsely chopped walnuts
  • ·
    vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for garnish, optional

How to Make Harvest Basket Apple Crisp


  1. Preheat oven to 350. To make the filling, prick apple slices with a fork Mix flour, cinnamon and sugar in bowl. Add apples and stir to coat well. Add melted butter, mixing till well covered. Pour into shallow 9 inch square baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. To make topping, mix all ingredients together til mixture is crumble. Mix by hand. Remove the apple filling form oven, remove foil and cover apples with the topping. Bake, uncovered for another 20 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Serves 6
