grilled pineapple
I make this in day camp every year, and the girls find out when so that they can bring me a pineapple to make for them. Cooking it whole makes it super easy and doesn't take space away from other things on the campfire since it goes on the edges. Once you try this easy way to come up with a simple dessert or snack, you will be hooked on this pineapple treat! Happy camping!

How To Make grilled pineapple
-
Step 1On the edge of your campfire, place the whole pineapple on the side. Allow the pineapple to cook, rolling so all sides get blackened. You know the pineapple is done when the juices pop through the charred skin. You roll them around by the green stems quite easily.
-
Step 2Take the pineapple off the edge of the fire when done, and the peel will easily come off. Then cut the pineapple into circles, then half them. The core makes a great place to hold while you eat the cooked pineapple!
