peeled, sliced macintosh or honey crisp apples
1/4 c
orange juice
1 c
sugar
3/4 c
all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
ground nutmeg
1/2 c
butter
dash salt

How to Make GRANDMA'S APPLE BETTY

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mound apples in buttered 9 inch pie plate. Sprinkle with orange juice.
  • 2Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in butter till mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  • 3Bake at 375 dgrees for 45 minutes or till apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
