- 4 cups peeled, sliced macintosh or honey crisp apples
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter
- - dash salt
How To Make grandma's apple betty

Step 1Mound apples in buttered 9 inch pie plate. Sprinkle with orange juice.

Step 2Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in butter till mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

Step 3Bake at 375 dgrees for 45 minutes or till apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
