- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- APPLE FILLING
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 4 - medium tart apples, chopped
- SAUCE TO POUR OVER FOR COOKING
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup hot water
How To Make grandma roland's apple dumplings

Step 1Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add soft butter and milk to make soft dough. Roll into a rectangle.

Step 2Cover dough with chopped apples and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. dot with butter. Roll up and cut into 1 inch slices. Place cut side down in a buttered 9x9 baking dish.

Step 3Bring to boil the sugar, flour, salt and hot water. Pour over the rolls and bake @ 375 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream. The liquid will be absorbed by the rolls and make a beautiful sauce.
