Who doesn't like Cherry Pie? Our family loves it! Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and you're all set! This makes the perfect size dessert for a small gathering since it is made in an 8 x 8-inch baking pan.

Ingredients
- THE BATTER
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 21 OUNCE CAN OF CHERRY PIE FILLING
- THE GLAZE
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk
How To Make glazed cherry pie squares

Step 1Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking pan, set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl cream butter and sugar, add eggs and both extracts, beat well. In another bowl whisk flour and salt together. Add to the butter mixture, mix until combined. The batter will be a bit thick.

Step 3Spread 1 1/2 cups of the batter into the greased baking pan. Top with the cherry pie filling. From a spoon, drop remaining batter on top of the pie filling.

Step 4Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick tests clean.

Step 5When completely cooled, cut into squares. Mix glaze ingredients together and drizzle over cooled squares.
