Ingredients
- 1/3 cup corn flake crumbs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons crystallized ginger, chopped or 1 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 6 - rome or mcintosh apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1.5 cups frozen vanilla nonfat yogurt or vanilla ice milk
How To Make ginger apple crisp

Step 1Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2Spray 8 inch square (1 1/2 quart) baking dish with non stick spray.

Step 3In a small bowl, combine the cornflake crumbs, brown sugar, flour and ginger; mix well.

Step 4Add in melted butter and mix well.

Step 5Place apples in spray-coated dish.

Step 6Add sugar and lemon juice; toss to coat.

Step 7Sprinkle apples with crumb mixture; press gently.

Step 8Bake for 25-30 minutes or until apples are tender and mixture is bubbly.

Step 9Cool slightly; serve with frozen vanilla yogurt or ice milk.
