Most ingredients are on your shelf and it's done before I'm finished loading the dishwasher after dinner. A perfect homemade dessert for 'drop in' guests, too.

Ingredients

  • 1 can comstock fruit filling
  • 1 box jiffy yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

How To Make fruit brown betty

  • Step 1
    Place fruit filling on bottom of deep ovenware dish. Sprinkle on nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut 3/4 stick butter on top. Cover with dry cake mix. Cut 1/4 stick butter on top.
  • Step 2
    Bake at 340 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Serve with ice cream (optional)
