My family will literally beg me to make sure I pick up bananas when I shop just so I can make this recipe. It's so simple to fix and a real inexpensive way to make a quick sweet treat. Extremely good on vanilla ice cream or a topping for waffles and pancakes. LOVE IT!!!!

prep time 5 Min
cook time 10 Min
method ---
yield 2-4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 - bananas, can be soft but not too over ripened
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, (i prefer how butter performs over the margarine)
  • - ground cinnamon, to taste
  • - honey, to taste

How To Make fried bananas

  • Step 1
In an iron skillet, and I feel this is key to use vs. non-stick, etc., heat the butter till melted; med-high heat will give you the sear on the bananas you are looking for.(Just be careful to not burn the butter) Slice bananas down the middle and place flat side down in skillet. After only a couple of minutes or less, check the banana and flip it when you have a browned-crispy edge. After flipping bananas over, sprinkle on the ground cinnamon and drizzle with honey. Remove from heat and serve.
