I have a special connection with plums. My uncle would make me homemade plum jam every summer so every time I have anything with plums in it I can't help but love it. This is one of my favorite recipes and everyone else loves it.

Ingredients For fresh plum crumb dessert

  • 7 lg
    plums, pitted and quartered
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    plus 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1
    egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted

How To Make fresh plum crumb dessert

    In a large bowl, combine the plums, melted sugar, 3 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Spoon into a greased 2 quart baking dish

    In a small bowl, combine the sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and remaining flour. Add egg, stir with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over plum mixture. Drizzle with butter.

    Bake at 375* for 40-45 minutes or until plums are tender and top is golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes. Serve warm
