Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg olk
- 4 cups pitted plums, sliced
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- FILLING
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temp
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make fresh plum bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch square pan. To make crust, combine flour and salt. In a large bowl, cream the shortening with the sugar. Beat in the egg yolk. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Spread into pan.

Step 2Arrange the plums on top of the dough. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Bake for 15 minutes.

Step 3For the filling: In a large bowl combine all the filling ingredients together and bead until smooth. Spread the topping carefully and evenly over the hot crust. Bake for 30-35 minutes longer, or until set. Cool in pan before cutting. Store in frige.
