CRUST

1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
salt
1/2 c
shortening
1/4 c
sugar
1 large
egg olk
4 c
pitted plums, sliced
1/2 c
powdered sugar

FILLING

8 oz
cream cheese, room temp
3/4 c
sour cream
3 large
eggs
3/4 c
powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp
lemon zest
1 tsp
almond extract
1 tsp
cinnamon

How to Make Fresh Plum Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch square pan. To make crust, combine flour and salt. In a large bowl, cream the shortening with the sugar. Beat in the egg yolk. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Spread into pan.
  • 2Arrange the plums on top of the dough. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • 3For the filling: In a large bowl combine all the filling ingredients together and bead until smooth. Spread the topping carefully and evenly over the hot crust. Bake for 30-35 minutes longer, or until set. Cool in pan before cutting. Store in frige.
