  • 2 c
    canola oil for frying
  • 2
    large ripe peaches
  • 1 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/2 c
    whole milk
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make Fresh Peach Fritters

Step-by-Step

  1. In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium high heat until 350 degrees.
    Peel and pit peaches and slice into ½-inch slices, set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Add butter, milk and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
    Dip each peach slice into batter with a fork and place gently into heated oil, 4 at a time, cooking 2 minutes. Flip over and cook 1-2 additional minutes, until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
  3. Serve sprinkled with sifted powdered sugar.
    Serves 4.
