Ingredients

  • 2 cups canola oil for frying
  • 2 - large ripe peaches
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

How To Make fresh peach fritters

  • Step 1
    In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium high heat until 350 degrees. Peel and pit peaches and slice into ½-inch slices, set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Add butter, milk and eggs. Whisk until smooth. Dip each peach slice into batter with a fork and place gently into heated oil, 4 at a time, cooking 2 minutes. Flip over and cook 1-2 additional minutes, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • Step 3
    Serve sprinkled with sifted powdered sugar. Serves 4.
